Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy—A Rare but Serious Complication Following Microwave Ablation of the Liver—Case Report

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is a form of stress which reversible. It can clinically mimic an ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. We present case 63 year old female, who was diagnosed with takotsubo in the immediate postoperative period, following microwave ablation for metastatic liver lesion. Despite only accounting small percentage acute coronary syndrome presentations, it still important differential to be considered when dealing cardiac events, as subsequent management different compared other more often encountered forms events.
